| ACCESS:
An inexpensive Windows
Database which is routinely
used for smaller database
applications.
ANALOG PACS: Software which gives the user the advantages of PACS systems while continuing to utilize analog film systems (X-Rays). This includes Check-In, Check-Out, Film Logging including Name, Site, Side, Shielding, Doctor, Date, and X-Ray Tech. DATABASE: a collection of interrelated structured, retrievable data stored on a computer in any medium. Disk, floppy, tape, etc. DATABASE MANAGEMENT: the task of storing data in a database and retrieving that information from that data. This includes: 1) Entering the data 2) Modifying or Updating data 3) Reporting or Manipulating the Data to provide useful information ODBC: Object Database Controls which are a part of the Windows Control Panel and operating system, which allow unlike databases to share data elements.
